a charming escape
ideal location stocked minibar fine breakfast traditional design
The hotel's location was superb. I could quickly walk to various attractions. The room included a well-stocked minibar. The breakfast buffet was plentiful, with many choices. i found the traditional design, showcasing a grand staircase, especially elegant.
The shower pressure WAS slightly low. EVERYTHING else was fine.

The hotel features a warm swimming pool that seemed adequately maintained and not overly crowded. The general ambience with original features in the hotel creates a relaxed experience for all guests.

The staff members were friendly and consistently helpful . The cleaning service was good, and the girl at the reception WAS pleasant. EVERYONE tried to address my requests.

fine staircase clean room really good breakfast
The building's architecture impressed me with its sweeping staircase and high ceilings. My room was clean and well-appointed. The shower had strong water pressure, just as I like it. The breakfast was really good, and the bacon was particularly good (one of the best I've had!).
The receptionist was a bit preoccupied during check-in.

The staff at the front desk gave a warm welcome. the location is central, and the parking was very convenient (a bit tricky to find at first). the hotel has a traditional style, showing off its character. i enjoyed drinks at the bar. The staff there was attentive and professional.
the bathroom definitely needs updating. the bed was too soft, and the pillows were limited. there was only one radiator in the room, and it felt cold (i could have asked for another blanket though).

The team at reception helped store my luggage before check-in. I found the room clean. Free parking was available on the premises. The location is very convenient for accessing shops.
The television remote needed new batteries, it was slightly inconvenient.

old carpet dirty drapes
the location was perfect, right in the city center close to shops, bars and the train station.
i booked a standard double room and it was disappointing. the carpet was old and the drapes looked dirty. the room just didn't feel as clean as i'd hoped..

antique furniture perfect pool large selection
My room was spacious with antique furniture. The swimming pool was a perfect size, maintaining a good temperature. Breakfast offered a very large selection, giving me plenty of choices.
The hotel has a slightly neglected feel, though it retains much of its grandeur.
